How It Began
Our Story
Sheroo's story began with family, creativity, and a love for the Royal Bengal Tiger.
At 14, one of Sheroo's founders won an international essay contest titled "What Animal I Would Save, Why & How." He chose the Royal Bengal Tiger — and won a safari trip to Kenya, beginning a lifelong connection to wildlife and storytelling.
That connection carried him into a career in Hollywood, where he spent over a decade as a CG Supervisor, with credits on major studio films including Spider-Man 2. He helped bring larger-than-life heroes to the screen — the kind that make kids' eyes go wide with wonder.
Years later, he and his sister turned that same storytelling craft toward something smaller — and in its own way, more powerful.
As Sheroo was being developed, she remembered playing nursery rhymes and lullabies for her young son. She decided to give Sheroo a 60-second recorder, so a parent or loved one could record their voice, a lullaby, a story, or a special message for a child to carry with them.
Together, brother and sister built a companion made not for the screen, but for real life — bedtime, the first day of school, the scary waiting room, the goodbye that's hard to say.
And so Sheroo became more than a little tiger — a companion created to bring comfort, courage, and a familiar voice wherever a child may go.
Be Kind. Be Brave. Dream Big.
